1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
3 tsps. cinnamon
6 lg. eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup raisins
1 T. vanilla
3 tart apples
1 loaf french bread - cut into 1" slices

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, butter & 1 tsp. cinnamon in mixing bowl. Add peeled, cored and thinly sliced apples and raisins, toss to coat well. Spread evenly over botton of baking dish, cover with bread slices. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and 2 tsps. cinnamon - pour over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake covered w/foil - 375º for 40 minutes; uncover and bake until brown; not over 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes and serve plain or with syrup.
