4-6 lb. Beef roast
1 (2) 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 can tomato juice (1/4 cup)
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 to 1 Cup chopped Onion
¼ tsp. garlic or two cloves minced
Other optional spices to taste and preference (see below)
½ jar (18 oz) of barbeque sauce (Kraft, or Cookie’s)
3 tsp. Woschester Sauce
1-1 ½ C. catsup

Salt and pepper to taste

Cut roast into ½ to 1 inch strips, salt and pepper strips, roll in flour, brown in oil. Drain on paper towel. Pour off oil except about 1 tablespoon. Brown onions, then return beef strips to pan. Pour in about 1 pint of boiling water and let cook for a few minutes, then add tomato sauce, tomato juice, barbeque sauce, worschester sauce. catsup, (hot catsup optional), garlic salt, oregano, accent, (chili powder seasoning optional), salt and pepper. Bring to a rolling boil and then turn to simmer. The longer the sauce simmers the better (6-8 hours).
Can be cooked in Crock pot 4-5 hours on high. Add can of beef broth before starting crock. After beef is tender, remove beef and cut into smaller pieces then replace in crock to simmer on low.
