1/3 C. shortening
½ C. brown sugar
½ C. milk
1 C. chopped pecans
3 eggs
½ tsp. salt
1 C. corn syrup
½ tsp. vanilla
Pecan halfs to cover top of pie

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and blend. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover top of pie with pecan halfs. Bake in hot oven (425ºF) for 10 minutes then at 350ºF for 25 minutes.
