1 C. Butter (1 stick Margarine)
2 C. Sugar
2 eggs
3 C. flour
1 ½ tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. soda
2 ½ C. apple sauce
2 T. Kara corn syrup
1 C. nuts
½ C. maraschino cherries (May also add ½ C. raisins or dates

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, them syrup and apple sauce in one bowl. Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl. Blend all together. Cook in greased and floured tube or bunt pan for 1 ½ hour at 300º.
