2 cakes yeast
4 C. lukewarm water
C. sugar
2 T. salt
4. T. lard
2 T. vinegar
12 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, lard and vinegar. Add 6 cups flour and beat well. Add 6 more cups flour. Knead until you can count 30 without the dough sticking to hands or table. Place in a generously greased bowl, turning so the top is greased. Cover and let rise again before forming into 4 loaves. Form into loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise until doubled. Brush melted butter on top. Bake at 425 for 25 minutes. (The dough can be punched down a second time if you get busy.)
