Olive oil
1 pkg Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage
4 cloves garlic smashed
1 onion diced
1 bay leaf
6 sage leaves, chiffonade
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup chicken stock
1 cup canned pumpkin or one 15 oz can
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
salt and pepper
1 lb penne, cooked
Parmesan for topping
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, cook sausage and then transfer to plate
Drain fat, and sauté garlic and onion.
Add bay leaf, sage and wine. Reduce by half about 2 min. Reduce heat and add pumpkin and cream. Add spices and salt and pepper. Cook till thickened.
Remove bay leaf. Add walnuts.
Add pasta to sauce and mix well.
Garnish with lots of cheese and sage leaves
