1 Tb Vegetable Oil
2 Tb Toasted Sesame Seeds
3Tb Vinegar (Rice vinegar)
3 Tb Sugar
1 tsp Soy Sauce
1 to 1 1/2 b. Fresh Asparagus

Directions:
Directions:
Blend first 5 ingredients. Warm slightly to melt sugar, if necessary, and cool. Wash asparagus and break off white ends. Place on steamer rack in pan and steam 1-3 minutes. Asparagus will be bright green and still crisp. Place in cold water and cool thoroughly. Drain and cut on the bias
3/4" intervals leaving about 1"tips. Pour sauce over all, turn carefully and refrigerate until cold. You may use tender green beans, broccoli or brussel sprouts in same way.
