2 tsp unsalted butter
2 C sliced onions
1-1/2 T balsamic vinegar
1/4 tsp dried thyme
Kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
4 6-oz tuna steaks
cooking spray
hamburger buns
lettuce leaves
sliced tomato

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a medium skillet over mideium-high heat. Add onion; saute 5 minutes. Stir in vinegar and thyme; cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Sprinke tuna steaks with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Heat large non-stick skillet, or grill pan, coated with cooking spray on medium-high heat. Add fish; cook 3 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.

Serve on buns with onions and top with lettuce and tomato slices and dijon mustard or wasabi mayo.

Tuna can be sliced before putting on buns and you'll likely get an extra serving or two.
