1 stick butter or margarine
2 c. corn flakes
6-7 c. shredded cabbage
2 c. onion
1 can water chestnuts, sliced (optional)
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
8 oz. cream cheese or ½ C mayonnaise
1 can cream of celery soup
1 c. milk
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauce: Mix together 8 oz. cream cheese or ½ C mayonnaise, 1 can cream of celery soup, 1 C milk, salt and pepper to taste.
Mix butter and corn flakes and place ½ of the mixture in a 9x13 in dish. Spread cabbage over the top and sprinkle with onions and chestnuts. Pour sauce over and top with remaining corn flakes and cheese. Bake at 350 º for 30-40 minutes.
