1 ½ C flour
¼ tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt
½ C. butter or margarine
½ C. brown sugar
2 eggs
¼ tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. maple flavoring
pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and gradually add brown sugar. Add 1 unbeaten egg and 1 egg yolk (reserve the egg white). Blend. Add vanilla and maple flavoring. Add dry ingredients and chill dough. Arrange pecan halves on greased baking sheet. Form dough into teaspoon size balls and dip in egg white. Set on top of pecan halves. Bake at 350º for 10-13 minutes. Frost with chocolate frosting.
