1 cup chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds
2/3 cup margarine or butter
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 baked pastry shells (9 inches, cooled)
2 envelopes Dream Whip Topping mix
2 and 1/4 cups cold milk
2 packages (4-serving size) Jello vanilla instant pudding & pie filing
1 and 1/4 cups (3 and 1/2 ounces) Bakers angel flake coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla

Bake pie shells, following directions on package and allow to cool.

Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add pecans and brown sugar and heat until mixture comes to a boil. Boil exactly 30 seconds. Divide the mixture and spread on the bottom of both baked pastry shells. Allow to cool.

With an electric mixer, beat whipped topping mix with 1 cup milk and vanilla. Beat on high speed about six minutes or until topping thickens and forms peaks. Add remaining milk and pudding mixes. Blend on low speed. Beat on high speed two minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in coconut. Spoon into pastry shells.

Refrigerate at least 4 hours or until set before serving.
