Bread Pudding:
5 eggs
6 C warm milk
3/4 t salt
1 1/5 C Sugar
2 t vanilla
diced bread
cinnamon
raisins

Vanilla Sauce:
1/2 lb butter
2 C sugar
1 pt whipping cream
1 C half and half
1/4 t salt

3 T cornstarch
1 C half and half
3/4 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
mix all bread pudding ingredients together.

grease 9x13 inch pan
cover bottom with diced bread and sprinkle cinnamon and approx 1/2 raisins
do this in layers until pan is full.
ladle all egg mixture over bread covering all areas
let stand 1/2 hour
put shallow pan boiling water on bottom shelf of oven under bread pudding
bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes

Vanilla Sauce:
cook first 5 ingredients and bring to a boil
add cornstarch mixture with half and half
cook 5 minutes
stirring constantly
add vanilla
refrigerate
