3 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 T. caraway seeds (can be reduced to 1 tsp)
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
4 T. butter, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 2 qt, round casserole bowl. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Stir in raisins and caraway seeds. With a fork, blend in buttermilk and melted butter until moist. Put in the casserole bowl. Make an "X" on the top.
Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes.
