1 butchered snapping turtle
flour
salt
pepper
oil
roasting pan

Directions:

Clean and cut up turtle in desired sized pieces
Roll pieces of turtle in flour, mixed with salt and pepper
Have oil hot in frying pan.
Put turtle pieces in hot oil and brown on all sides.
When browned; put in a roaster that was sprayed with cooking spray.
When all turtle is browned, and in the roaster; pour water in the pan so it's 1" deep. Salt and pepper. Cover, and bake at 325º until meat is done. Remove meat from pan; and make gravy out ot the juice in the bottom of pan.

The first time I ever ate turtle was at Dale and Carol's. It was delicious! Some parts taste like: chicken, beef, and pork. Some is white meat; and some is dark meat. You need a big turtle to make it worth your while.
