"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This came from a recipe book that Grandma or Mother had called Ma's Cookin'. produced by the Ozark Maid candies. These are so easy to make and way too good: The litte story above this recipe reads:
"Bet you took yore readin' glasses off an' cleaned them when you read this recipe name. Nope, yore not seein' things - she was "boiled". Credit fer this one goes to Wilma Davis, Osage Beach, MO.
