1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast

1 c. warm water
4 c. flour
3 T. baking soda
2 c. hot water
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c warm water in a large bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes.
Add 1 c warm water. Slowly add 4 c. flour and mix well. Knead. Separate into egg size portions. Roll out with hands (like you are forming a snake).
Shape into pretzel. Put the baking soda in hot water. Bring to a boil. Dip pretzels in water bath and place on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with salt.
Bake at 400º for 15-20 minutes.
