2 C applesauce
1-1 lb. can sauerkraut
2 lbs. pork spareribs
1/4 C chili sauce
1/4 C catsup
2 TBSP vinegar
1/3 C packed brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine applesauce and sauerkraut. Spread on bottom of baking dish. Top with spareribs. Combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour chili sauce mixture over spareribs. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

This recipe came from Ann Steiner but Norene loved it and made it fairly often. Ann always used a commercially bottled chili sauce from which Norene got the jars and used them for her raspberry-currant jelly.
