1 box Raisin Bran cereal
1 c melted shortening
3 c. sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 t. soda
2 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and store in the refrigerator in Tupperware. In the morning, take a muffin tin and fill desired number of muffins halfway up. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes.

Okay, even thouugh I haven't made this in a thousand years (how many Sharri?) I used to always have this on hand in the first few years of being married. Russ would often take breakfast with him to eat while he drove to work, and I could send along a hot bran muffin. They really did keep for a long time in the fridge! (don't necessarily recommend 6 weeks!)
