2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
3 to 4 tbsp. of cocoa (depends on taste)
dash of salt

1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first five ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan. Heat and mix until mixture begins boiling. Boil for one minute. Then remove from heat. Add vanilla and peanut butter, and mix until blended. Then stir in oatmeal. Immediately spoon out mixture into cookies on wax paper. Allow to cool and harden.

Memory: Growing up in Reynolds and Monon, I remember these cookies often being made and immediately consumed. Either Mom or I, and then Tammy when she was old enough, would mix up a batch when we wanted something sweet. Today I make these and pass them along to family and colleagues. At least once Scott had a birthday "cake" made from this recipe.
