1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter
2 cup brown sugar
1 (14 oz) box corn chex
1 new brown bag

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to a boil the above ingredients. Boil for 1-1/2 minutes. Add 1/2 tsp. soda after the 1-1/2 minutes.
Add corn chex cereal to brown bag. Pour syrup mixture over the corn chex. Microwave 4 minutes. Shake bag after every minute. (Use caution the bag gets hot) Pour mixture on sheet pans to cool. Store in air tight container.

*Dianes orginal recipe called for a 7 oz box of corn chex. I have found that using the 14 oz box there is still plenty of caramel on the mix.
