1 2/3 cu. chocolate chips
1 cu. sugar
1/3 cu. butter, cut into pieces
2 Tbls. water
2 large eggs
1 teas. vanilla
3/4 cu. flour
1/4 teas. salt

Preheat oven to 325º

Grease 8" square pan.

Melt 1 1/3 cu. chocolate chips, sugar, butter, & water till smooth. Pour into a medium bowl. Stir in eggs, one at a time, with wire whisk until blended. Stir in vanilla. Add flour & salt. Stir well. Fold in remaining 1/3 cu. chocolate chips. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake 38-40 minutes in preheated oven, until pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool in the pan, on a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve. Makes 16 brownies.

The original recipe called for dark chocolate morsels. I use semi-sweet, because that's what I always have on hand. YUMMY.
