2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup water
1 cup crisco
3 ½ tablespoons cocoa
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and sugar and set aside. Combine butter, water, Crisco and cocoa and bring to boil. Pour over flour and sugar and mix.
Combine buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla and mix well and add to other ingredients.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake 400 for 22 minutes. Check center to be sure it is done. Frost and serve while hot.
