6 to 8 c. rinsed, dried and chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
5-7 chopped green onions
1 chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 (10 oz.) package frozen green peas (keep frozen)
10 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 (2.8 oz.) package ready to serve real bacon bits or pieces

dressing: 1 c. miracle whip mixed with one or two tbsp. sugar and thinned with 1 c. milk

Layer first five ingredients in a large glass bowl.
pour dressing evenly over the salad.
Add a layer of cheese, then a layer of bacon.
