Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 TB ketchup
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp yellow mustard
1 large egg
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 skim milk or 1% milk
1 TB Worcestershire sauce
1 cup fresh whole wheat bread crumbs (I used two slices Nature's Own whole wheat and it was enough)
2 medium carrots, coarsely grated
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 sweet onion (Vidalia if you can get it!)
1 and 1/4 lb lean ground turkey. I make two of these and use 2 pounds ground turkey and 1 pound of ground white chicken.
A dash of gravymaster will make the whole think more appealing.
Leave out the sugar if you are on a diet.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Set aside for brushing over the top of the loaf after assembly is complete.

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, tomato sauce, milk, Worcestershire, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper; stir in the bread crumbs. Add the carrots, garlic and onion and mix to combine. Add the turkey and mix til incorporated. Transfer to the lined cookie sheet and shape into a 9x3.5 inch loaf. Brush loaf with the ketchup mixture. Bake until internal temperature registers 160º, 40-45 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I usually double the recipe and use 1/2 ground turkey and 1/2 ground chicken breast. Whenever I substitute ground poultry for ground beef, I mix in some Kitchen Bouquet or Gravy Master to make the meat appear browner. Also, I use 3 tsp of brown sugar for a double recipe, vs. 4 that is called for.
