3 large Vidalia (or sweet) onions, coarsely chopped
2 tbsp. butter or oleo, melted
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded (I've always used Swiss)
1 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. hot sauce (Tabasco)
1-2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in butter over medium-high heat until tender.
Combine cheese, onion, mayo, hot sauce and garlic.
Stir well.

Pour into lightly buttered 1-1/2 quart casserole.
Bake uncovered at 375º F for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and goldern.

Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
