½ cup plus 6 tablespoons butter (14 tablespoons total)
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups uncooked oats
½ cup vanilla chips
¾ cup craisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In large bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to butter mixture, mixing well. Blend in oats, vanilla chips and craisins. Mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool 1 minute on sheets, remove to wire rack and cool completely. Store tightly covered.
