1/2 C butter, softened
1/2 C light corn syrup (Karo)
3/4 C peanut butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
4-4 1/2 C powdered sugar (! lb.)
3/4 C nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and nuts.
Gradually add 4 to 4 1/2 C powdered sugar.
Add nuts (optional).
Knead until smooth, then roll and cut, Or press into a glass baking dish, then cut.

For chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge, add 1/2 C cocoa to peanut butter before adding remainder of ingredients.
