1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup applesauce
1 tsp soda
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup walnuts (optional)
1 pkg chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 360º. Mix shortening, eggs, and sugar together. Add applesauce and soda. Mix. Add flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt, Mix. Add chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 min.
