Ingredients:  
1 package Pepperidge Farm herb seasoned stuffing mix - enough to stuff
a 12-18 pound turkey
1/2 pound sausage
1 stick butter or margarine
water - enough to moisten dressing mix to desired moistness
(may use chicken broth - if desired instead of water)
3 stalks celery, finely chopped
1 apple, peeled & chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
salt & pepper to taste
chopped, cooked giblets from turkey

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage until browned & crumbly. Add butter, enough water or chicken broth to moisten dressing cubes to desired moistness, celery, onion, & apple. Cook 5 minutes. Add mixture to dressing cubes. Add water chestnuts, egg, chopped, cooked giblets, poultry seasoning, and salt & pepper to taste. Toss gently to mix. You will have enough dressing to stuff the turkey and freeze remainder in 8 inch casserole for future use.
