3 cups sugar
1 cup canned milk
2 cups pecans
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In large sauce pan slowly heat 2 cups sugar with the milk, stirring often. At the same time, melt the other cup of sugar in a separate pan. Pour into the milk and sugar mixture, stirring as you pour. Cook until 1 tsp. of the mixture, dropped into cup of very cold water, forms a firm ball. Remove from heat and add vanilla, pecans and butter. Stir until the mixture begins to thicken, then drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Allow to cool.
