2 dried Shiitake
Sauce:
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp sesame oil
3/4 lb New York Strip Steak, cut thinly across the grain
1 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil (Not Extra Virgin)
1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
1/4 cup diced yellow onion
1 tsp cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tsp cold water

Directions:

1. Rehydrate Shiitake mushrooms overnight. Drain the mushrooms, discard the stems, and finely dice the caps.

2. Mix the red wine, chicken stock, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and sesame oil till everything is dissolved and set aside.

3. Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a large pan over high heat until very hot. Coat the pan in olive oil. Quickly stir-fry the steak till barely pink

4. Add the bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms to the pan and cook, stirring until softened, about 2 minutes. Pour in the sauce and bring to a boil. Stir in cornstarch slurry while stirring vigorously. simmer until the sauce thickens. Spoon sauce over steak and serve.

Note: Serve with hot rice and a vegetable or dinner rolls to dip in the sauce.
