2 pounds lean ground beef, or ground turkey
1 14 oz. can stewed tomatoes
1/2 4 oz. can green chilies - if you like it hot
2 11 oz. cans Mexican style corn
2 14 oz. jars salsa, chunky style, (Pace-mild, Chi-Chi's, medium OR
1 Kroger 28 oz. jar salsa)
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
Mexican seasonings (cumin, garlic, chili powder) to taste
2 tablespoons sugar
2 packages Jiffy cornbread mix, mixed according to package
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 4 oz. can green chilies (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef. Do not salt. Drain. Stir in next 7 ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400º. Prepare cornbread. Fold in cheese and green chilies. Pour on top of meat mixture and spread to edge to cover meat. Bake at 400º for 25 minutes or until cornbread is lightly browned.
