2 cups sugar
2/3 cup oil
5 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

2 2/3 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp creme of tartar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Beat first four ingredients for four minutes. Sift the dry ingredients together. Mix all together. Add two cups boiling water, beating well after each ingredient. Put in well greased large pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
