Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. dry active yeast
2/3 c. powdered milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
6 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
margarine
canned milk
icing sugar
almond flavoring
coconut
toasted pecans or sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix warm water, sugar and yeast and let rise, then mix in powdered milk, eggs, salt, flour and oil. If dough seems too sticky, add flour as needed. I knead the flour in my mixer until elastic. Let dough rise until doubled.

Roll out dough and cut into strips. Dip strips in melted butter, twist and wind around to form buns. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise again. Bake at 350º for about 15 minutes.

When cooled, top with icing, coconut and toasted almonds or pecans. There isn't an exact recipe for the icing. I mix 1/4-1/2 cup soft margarine and add icing sugar and canned milk until I like the consistency, Then add almond flavoring to taste - a bit at a time so it's not too strong.
