1 stick of butter
1/4 cup coco
6 Tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Usually double the recipe. Heat oven to 375 Mix thoroughly shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.

Frosting:
In a large sauce pan, melt butter add coco and milk, and bring to a LIGHT boil Stirring constantly. remove from heat, mix in about 3 cups powdered sugar.(sift powered sugar) Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Julie, I usually double this recipe. I never sift the powered sugar but I mix the powered sugar into the lightly boiled mixture with the electric mixer. It will be runny at first but let it cool a bit and drop a little on top of cooled cookies.
