Ingredients:  
Melt 1/4 lb butter or margarine in 9 x 9 pan
Beat 2 eggs with 1/4 cup sugar until very light
1 c buttermilk
stir in lightly
1 c cornmeal
1 c flour
1/2 tsp soda
1 generous tsp baking powder
1 generous tsp salt

Sift together dry ingredients

Stir all of the above gently together

Pour in pan that margarine/butter was melted in.

Bake at 375º for 25 min

If doubling use 9x13 or oven broiler pan, bake 35 min at 370º
