2 lb stew meat
2 lg onions, chunked
3 carrots, chunked
4 sm. red potatoes, quartered
1 10oz pkg frozen peas*
1/2 c tomato paste
1 1/2 c water
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp celery salt
salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in oil, simmer until meat is tender (add small amount of water as needed). Remove to casserole, add onions, potatoes and raw carrots. To pan drippings, add tomato paste, water and all seasonings, stir over low heat to get up browned bits. Cover and bake at 350º for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Stir often. *Add peas last hour of baking.

This recipe is older than me and oh so good. It is best if you use a cast iron or metal pan.
