2 cups flour
4 teaspoons Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Cream of Tarter
½ Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients. Cut ½ cup shortening into dry ingredients. Mix 1 egg and 2/3 cup milk with fork. Beat and then add to above dry ingredients and shortening.
Knead a little. Handle as little as possible. Pat out the mixture on floured surface and cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake 425 degrees 12 - 15 minutes on cookie sheet.

This is my mother's recipe (Zelia Perugini). I entered it in the State Fair 2001 and got a Blue Ribbon on them. They are really good .
