Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter (if you use margarine it makes the sauce runnier )
1 teaspoon salt
1 bay leaf
Dash of Cayenne pepper
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup flour
1 cup half-and-half (if you use milk it makes the sauce runnier)
1 package real bacon pieces
8-oz shredded cheese (use cheddar for sharper flavor, mixed for a sweeter taste)
8oz elbow pasta

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Melt butter over medium heat and add salt, bay leaf, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire sauce. After butter is melted, slowly add the flour, stirring constantly, to avoid lumps. After flour is added, add half-and-half slowly, again stirring constantly to avoid lumps. The longer you heat the mixture the more it will thicken. If using real butter and half-and-half do not heat too long so the sauce will mix with the pasta better. Pour the white sauce into a large bowl with 2/3 of the shredded cheese and the bacon pieces. Boil the pasta until al-dente. Add to the cheese sauce and pour into baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.
