Husk the corn just before cooking. Use damp paper towel to be sure silks are off. Fill large sauce pan approximately 1/2 full with unsalted water. Bring to a boil.

Add corn and cover to return to boil (about 3-4 minutes). When it boils strong, start timing up to 10 minutes. Length of time depends on how soft you want the corn kernels to be. For crisp, remove after 1 minute.

Remove carefully with tongs. Serve with butter, salt/pepper, and napkins!

You can turn off heat when the boiling gets strong and let them set in the water until it stops boiling. Then remove and serve.
