3oz dark bittersweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
3 oz white chocolate, chopped into small pieces
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup superfine sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
confectioners sugar to decorate

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Melt the plain and white chocolates in separate bowls over barely simmering water and set both aside to cool.

Beat the butter and superfine sugar together until pale and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. then sift in the flour and mix well.

Halve the creamed mixture and divide it between the two bowls of chocolate. Mix each chocolate in thoroughly so that each forms a dough. Knead the doughs until smooth, wrap them separately in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.

Shape slightly rounded teaspoonfuls of both doughs roughly into balls. Roll the balls between your palms to neaten them. Arrange the balls on greased baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, until firm. Dust with sifted icing sugar and cool on a wire rack.
