6 medium Jonathan apples, pared, cored, and sliced
3 T lemon juice
1/2 C granulated sugar
2 T all purpose flour
1 tsp grated lemon peel
PIE CRUST
1 C all purpose flour
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 C cooking oil
3 T cold milk
CRUMB TOPPING
1/2 C all purpose flour
1/2 C quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
8 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Mix together remaining ingredients; stir into apples. set aside.
PIE CRUST:
In bowl combine dry ingredients. Combine oil and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring gently. Pat into 9 inch pie plate, building up top edge. Flute edge. Spoon apples into pie crust. Sprinkle with crumb topping
CRUMB TOPPING:
Mix all dry ingredients. Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Bake in 400º oven 50 minutes.
