1 heaping c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
milk

Directions:
Boil water in a large spaghetti pot half full. Mix dry ingredients with spoon. Add egg. Mix well until it forms a crumbly mixture. Pour milk slowly while stirring constantly, just until batter holds together in a very stiff dough. Using a serving size spoon, scoop a large dumpling (about 1 inch by 2 inches). Dunk spoon into water to release dumpling. Cook 15 minutes. Pour out water.

*This makes about 4 dumplings, generally I will double it.

Personal Notes:
Ammy always made these when we had roast pork. She would roll the dumplings in the dark pork grease. She usually doubled the recipe. She would put some aside and use them with eggs for another meal. First saute the cut up dumplings in butter/oil, add beaten eggs and scramble until done. Add a salad and you have a quick dinner.
