2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP SALT
1/4 C SUGAR
1 BEATEN EGG
3 TBSP MELTED BUTTER (NOT TOO HOT)
1/2 BRER RABBIT MOLASSES
1/2 C SWEET MILK
1 TSP VANILLA
SCANT 1/2 TSP ALMOND EXTRACT
3 TSP SUGAR
1/2 TSP CINNAMON
1 CAN SLICED PEACHES

SIFT 2 C FLOUR WITH 2 TSP BAKING POWDER, 1/2 TSP SALT, 1/4 C SUGAR. MIX 1 BEATEN EGG WITH 3 TBSP MELTED BUTTER (NOT TOO HOT). ADD 1/2 C. BRER RABBIT MOLASSES AND 1/2 C SWEET MILK. GRADUALLY ADD MOLASSES MIXTURE TO DRY MIXTURE, STIRRING GENTLY UNTIL BATTER IS SMOOTH. ADD 1 TSP VANILLA AND SCANT 1/2 TSP ALMOND EXTRACT. SPREAD IN PAN ARRANGE SLICED CANNED PEACHES ON TOP, PRESSING SLIGHTLY INTO DOUGH. SPRINKLE WITH 3 TSP SUGAR MIXED WITH 1/2 TSP CINNAMON. BAKE IN MODERATE OVEN (350º). SERVE HOT WITH CREAM OR PUDDING SAUCE
