1 lb. chick peas
6 c.coldwater
1/4 tsp. pepper
salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Soak chick peas overnight in the cold water (If you are rushed- 6 hours is enough)
Drain, and cook in 6 c. salted water for 2 hours. make sure peas are soft but still retain their shape
Drain and spread out on towel or sheet.
Season with salt and pepper

This came in handy for all those Shalom Zochers. But I never made just one. We loved eating all the leftovers many Shabbosim afterwards
