1 pkg active dry yeast
1/4 cup very warm water
2 cups milk, scalded
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 Tablespoon salt
3 cups sifted flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup yellow corn meal
4 - 4 1/2 cups sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. In large bowl, combine milk, sugar, shortening and salt. Stir in 3 cups flour until blended. Add eggs, yeast, cornmeal. Gradually add 4 cups flour. On lightly floured board, knead dough for 10 minutes. Place dough in a large greased bowl, turning to grease all sides. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place about 1 1/2 hours until doubled. Punch down, knead for one minute then place in a bread pan. Let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350º.
