2 c of soft bread crumbs
1 c applesauce
2 lb ground chuck or ground round
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 sm chopped onion
1 sm chopped green pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbls brown sugar
1 tsp vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine bread crumbs with the applesauce. Add beef, eggs, onion, green pepper and salt. Blend. Shape into a loaf and put in a baking dish. Using a spoon make a depression in the top of the loaf. Mix brown sugar and vinegar. Pour into depression in the top of the loaf. Bake at 350° F for 1 hour.
