6 T butter
1 C packed brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1/2 C applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 C all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C chopped pecans
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
2 T orange juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan combine butter and sugar; heat till butter is melted. Stir in egg, applesauce, and vanilla. Stir together, flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir in the applesauce mixture and nuts. Spread in greased 12x7 1/2x2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350º oven 30 minutes or till done. Cool slightly. Meanwhile stir powdered sugar, orange juice and the 1/2 tsp. vanilla till smooth. While brownies are still warm, spread with frosting.
