2 c sugar
1 c Crisco
3 eggs
1 c sour cream
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 to 5 c flour

Filling:
1 - 15 oz box of raisins
1 c sugar
2 tbls lemon juice
1 c water
flour to thicken

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together thoroughly the Crisco, sugar and eggs. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together baking powder, baking soda and flour. Add to mixture. Chill dough. Roll out dough on floured surface, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with 3 inch round cookie cutter. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Filling:
Mix together in saucepan the raisins, sugar, lemon juice and water. Cook slowly while stirring. If needed, add a small amount of flour to thicken. Cool. Place a rounded teaspoon of cooled filling on half of the rounds of dough. Place round of dough on top of each and press edges together. Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes.
