3 lb beef arm or blade pot roast
2 T cooking oil
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1/2 C chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. oregano, crushed
1 tsp. thyme, crushed
1/2 tsp. basil, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 16 oz pkg of spaghetti, cooked and drained
Grated Parmesan cheese

Trim excess fat from roast. In Dutch oven heat oil and brown pot roast. Combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, onion, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil, salt and pepper. Pour over meat. Simmer, covered, for 2 to 2 1/4 hours or till meat is almost tender; uncover and simmer 15 minutes more. Remove meat to warm platter. Skim excess fat from sauce; serve sauce with meat and the cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
